When Coldplay announced their one and only UK Show for 2017 back in October 2016 not long after a number ok UK dates they played in 2016, I wasn’t going to miss it! The demand for the tickets was incredible, I was very lucky to get 2 tickets after trying for 5o minutes. I’d seen Coldplay 3 times prior to this gig and each one was better than the one before, they strive to create the best live events on the planet! This gig was no different. Well it was, firstly is was in Cardiff, I’ve only seen Coldplay in Manchester, Once in the Cricket Groud and twice Etihad Stadium. Neither of the previously mentioned venues holds over 70,000 people and has a closable roof!
Due to the heavy rain on the day the roof was recently closed after an uproar of Twitter by fans in the pit. I had a seated ticket with my partner up on the river side. We had a great view of the stage and the sound quality was excellent. My only concern was that the sound quality would be lacking due to the size of the venue but I had nothing to worry about.
The concert was excellent, with an unbelievable light and strobe display to match the high tempo recent music or some of their older works Like ‘Fix You’ and ‘Yello’. The atmosphere was electric and everyone in the venue where involved and loving it!
Here is a photo I took during the show, you can see what a great view we had!
