On Satuday I set off nice and early around 6:45 to the River Dee in Chester to test out my new Kayak. The weather was perfect, no wind, blue sunny sky and not too hot. I arrived around 7:10 and set up in the Sandy Lane care pack. Below is the route I took up and down the dee. I rowed for 5000m which for my first Kayak in years, I was very pleased with.
The route was brilliant, very quiet with only a few other people out on the river on kayaks, paddleboards or rowing boats.
Sunday night in the Irish Sea of the coast of Meols.
On Sunday afternoon on high tide, James and I went out for our first trip on the sea. Stunning scenery and good fun. We did just under 4000m, it’s such a great way to stay in shape.
I’m really excited to be able to do more of this over the next few months in the summer!
